Hostess/Host – Front of House at Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Hostess/Host to welcome guests at the Excelsior Hotel Gallia in Milan. You will be the first point of contact in the dining area, ensuring a smooth and pleasant experience for every visitor.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, determine party size, and escort them to clean, prepared tables.
• Arrange chairs, place menus, and verify that each setting includes a napkin, silverware, and any required items.
• Monitor dining room flow, adjust seating for groups with special needs, and maintain a tidy work environment.
• Keep menus up‑to‑date, clean, and wrinkle‑free.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any incidents promptly.
• Maintain a professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of company information.
• Answer telephone calls with proper etiquette and support team goals.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Less than one year of related experience is acceptable.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
• Capability to lift, carry, push, pull, or place objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
