Host/Hostess – Luxury Dining

About the role

The St. Regis Rome is opening an exclusive Akira Back restaurant and seeks a professional Host/Hostess to deliver a warm, personalized welcome to international guests. This full‑time, front‑of‑house position reports to the Specialty Restaurant Manager and plays a key part in creating memorable dining experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Greet arriving and departing guests with genuine hospitality, escort them to their tables and introduce the serving staff.
• Manage reservations, waiting lists and table allocations using the restaurant’s reservation platform.
• Provide accurate wait‑time information and maintain clear communication with guests.
• Answer telephone calls and reservation inquiries promptly and courteously.
• Refill beverages, perform light housekeeping duties, and ensure the hostess desk and restrooms remain clean and well‑stocked.
• Process payments via credit‑card machine and balance the cash register at shift start and end.
• Support colleagues by handling to‑go orders and other ad‑hoc tasks as needed.

• Comfortable handling cash transactions and basic administrative duties.
