Hotel Director – Lead Onboard Operations

About the role

The Hotel Director is responsible for overseeing all Hotel Operations aboard the vessel, ensuring that each department delivers exceptional service and meets company performance targets. This senior leadership position drives strategic initiatives across Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Finance, Entertainment, IT, Cruise Sales, and other revenue‑generating areas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of all Hotel departments, aligning activities with key performance indicators.
• Develop and execute strategic plans, resource allocation, and workforce planning to optimize efficiency.
• Lead a culturally diverse team, fostering a global perspective and high‑performance culture.
• Monitor financial performance, budgeting, and revenue generation across onboard services.
• Ensure compliance with hospitality standards, guest satisfaction metrics, and human‑resources policies.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of senior leadership experience in a luxury (4/5*) hotel or cruise environment.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, decision‑making, and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven capability to lead diverse teams and manage complex operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field (preferred) or equivalent progressive experience.

Required skills

• Intermediate proficiency with standard computer software applications.
