HR & Labor Relations Partner – Italy

About the role

Dow is seeking an experienced HR & Labor Relations Partner to support its Italian operations, primarily based at the Correggio site and covering Milano (HQ), Mozzanica and Correggio locations. The role will act as the main HR contact for employee and labor relations, ensuring compliance with Italian legislation and fostering constructive dialogue with trade unions and works councils.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with site, country and functional leaders to implement people priorities aligned with the Italian business strategy.
• Provide guidance on workforce decisions, handling sensitive conversations and mitigating legal or employee‑relations risks.
• Lead employee and labor relations activities, acting as the primary HR representative to works councils, trade unions and labor authorities.
• Ensure full compliance with Italian labor laws and collective bargaining agreements, updating practices as regulations evolve.
• Support information, consultation and negotiation processes required by law or collective agreements.
• Collaborate with regional HR teams to roll out global initiatives such as engagement surveys, inclusion & diversity programs and employee experience projects.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and harmonise people policies and practices across sites.
• Regularly visit other Dow Italy locations to maintain strong relationships and consistent HR service delivery.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in HR business partnering, employee relations or labor relations, preferably within a multinational environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of Italian labor legislation and collective bargaining frameworks.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Strong communication skills in English and Italian.
• University degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration or a related field.
