IACS Registrar (Installation Access Control)

About the role

We are seeking an IACS Registrar to join the team at the U.S. Army Garrison in Livorno, Italy. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will be the primary point of contact for community members needing access to the installation, issuing identification credentials and supporting the Installation Access Control System (IACS) program.

Key responsibilities

• Provide frontline customer service to USAG Livorno personnel and families.
• Issue Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) cards to authorized individuals.
• Process and maintain access roster lists for special events and on‑post functions.
• Coordinate with the Directorate of Emergency Services and the Provost Marshal’s Office to ensure accurate information submission.
• Perform administrative and clerical tasks, including data entry, record keeping and compliance with U.S. Army IACS regulations.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen, 18 years or older, able to obtain and maintain base access.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of customer‑service or administrative experience.
• Organized, reliable and detail‑oriented, comfortable working in a security‑focused environment.
• Familiarity with the military community (veteran, spouse or member) is a plus.
