Inspection & Diagnosis Technician

About the role

Flender Italia is seeking a field service professional to carry out endoscopic inspections on wind‑turbine gearboxes. The role involves travelling to customer sites, preparing equipment, performing the inspection, and delivering a detailed report.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a preliminary study of each activity, reviewing technical drawings, procedures and required tools.
• Prepare and calibrate all tools and endoscopic equipment needed for the inspection.
• Organise travel logistics, including hotel, flight and ferry bookings when required.
• Perform endoscopic inspections on wind‑energy gear units until completion.
• Write a comprehensive report summarising findings after each inspection.
• Maintain and service tools, equipment and company vehicles.

Required profile

• Formal training and experience in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
• Previous experience in the wind‑energy sector.
• Fit for work at height and no vertigo issues.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Italy and occasionally abroad (50‑60% of work days).
• Team player capable of working under supervision.
• Valid driver’s licence.
