Junior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and support the design of complete mechanical systems for contactless measurement applications in railway and steelworks. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will create 3D models, BOMs, and detailed drawings while ensuring compliance with international standards and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical assemblies, sub‑assemblies, and related parts.
• Produce 3D models, 2D production drawings, and layout schematics.
• Generate mechanical bills of materials and maintain project documentation.
• Estimate effort for tasks and document design specifications.
• Collaborate with optical, electrical, and electronic engineers on system interfaces.
• Work with Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality teams to guarantee part and product quality.
• Ensure designs meet legal regulations, standards, and project milestones.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑2 years experience in mechanical design of medium‑complexity machines.
• 1‑2 years experience with manufacturing processes (machined, welded, milled, sheet‑metal parts).
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).
• Knowledge of EU directives and international technical standards.

Required skills

• 2D/3D CAD – preferably PTC Creo.
• PLM/ERP systems – preferably PTC Windchill.
• Basic FEM analysis knowledge.
• Design for manufacturing and design for assembly experience.
