Legal Counsel – Italy & Europe

About the role

As a Legal Counsel you will join Momentive’s regional EMEAI Legal Team, providing expert legal guidance to commercial, procurement, HR and compliance functions across Italy and Europe. You will help the business meet its objectives while ensuring compliance with local and European laws.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate customer contracts for regional sales teams.
• Support customer service teams on commercial and customer‑related legal matters, including claims.
• Provide legal assistance to procurement teams on supplier agreements.
• Manage corporate law requirements for Italian group entities.
• Advise on Italian labour law and collaborate with HR on employee relations and collective bargaining.
• Ensure data‑privacy compliance and support regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate internal investigations, disputes and litigation in Italy and Europe, working with external counsel.
• Monitor legal and regulatory developments and propose proactive measures.
• Assist with Legislative Decree 231/2001 matters and collaborate with the Supervisory Body.
• Deliver training on legal policies and promote a culture of compliance.

Required profile

• University law degree and admission to practice law in Italy.
• 3–6 years of legal experience in Italy, preferably in a multinational corporate environment or reputable law firm.
• Strong knowledge of Italian and European commercial and corporate law.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• Business acumen with understanding of financial and strategic priorities.
• Fluent in Italian and English.
