M&A Financial Controller – Europe Financial Controlling Uplift

About the role

KONE is launching a Europe‑wide Financial Controlling Uplift Project to harmonise processes and boost efficiency. The M&A Financial Controller will join the newly created M&A Center of Excellence, acting as the finance partner for the global M&A team and ensuring accurate accounting and reporting of all M&A transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounting topics related to IFRS 3 and local GAAP adjustments for M&A activities.
• Prepare and post accounting entries for acquisitions, divestitures and internal merger projects.
• Collaborate with KONE Business Services to guarantee correct transaction recognition.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing of consolidated financial statements.
• Lead finance aspects of post‑acquisition system integrations as a subject‑matter expert.
• Develop and improve M&A‑related finance processes, solutions and internal controls.
• Assist Group and statutory auditors on M&A accounting matters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
• 4–7 years of finance experience, preferably in an international environment or Big 4.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, especially IFRS 3, and ability to apply standards in practice.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems; SAP experience is highly valued.
• Analytical mindset, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent collaboration, influencing and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
