M&A Tax Consultant – Deal Advisory (Milan)

About the role

KPMG is looking for a motivated M&A Tax Consultant to join its Deal Advisory team in Milan. You will support clients on complex tax matters linked to mergers, acquisitions and corporate restructurings, working in a dynamic environment that blends national and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct tax due‑diligence reviews for extraordinary transactions such as mergers, demergers, acquisitions and contributions.
• Assist in corporate restructuring projects and analyse their tax implications.
• Evaluate transaction treatment under Italian accounting standards (OIC) and international standards (IAS/IFRS).
• Prepare national and international tax opinions and applications for tax rulings.
• Draft corporate income tax returns (Modello Unico and Modello IRAP).
• Participate in national and cross‑border projects alongside senior professionals.

Required profile

• 0‑3 years of experience in an International Law Firm, Big Four, or advisory firm.
• Master’s degree in Economics (LM‑77/LM‑56) or Law (LMG‑01) with a final grade of at least 100/110.
• Intention to pursue qualification as a Chartered Accountant or Lawyer.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
