Maintenance Technician – Airport Hotel

About the role

The Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth operation of guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities at the Sheraton Milan Malpensa airport hotel. You will respond quickly to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance and keep all equipment running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical‑room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines; identify and operate shut‑off valves and utility controls.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, including TVs, lighting, A/C filters and sprinkler systems.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to the next shift.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic, carpentry and energy‑conservation systems.
• Ability to lift, carry or move objects up to 50 lb.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and strong guest‑service orientation.
• Ability to work safely, follow company policies and complete required safety training.
