Maintenance Technician

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at Mandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina, you will ensure the new alpine resort operates safely, efficiently and to the brand’s high standards. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Engineering, you will support both pre‑opening activities and ongoing hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of building systems and engineering equipment.
• Assist with handover from contractors, identifying defects and outstanding works.
• Help set up preventive maintenance schedules, procedures and documentation.
• Become familiar with all plant rooms, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Support installation and testing of guest‑room equipment, public‑area systems and back‑of‑house facilities.
• Prepare workshops, maintenance stores and spare‑parts inventory.

Required profile

• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance within a hospitality or similar environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams and contractors.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
• Willingness to learn and adapt during the pre‑opening phase.
