Malware Analyst – OT & IoT Cybersecurity

About the role

Nozomi Networks is expanding its Security Research team and is looking for a Malware Analyst to develop accurate threat intelligence and reverse‑engineered detection signatures for its AI‑powered OT and IoT cybersecurity platform.

Key responsibilities

• Create, tune and maintain detection rules (YARA, SNORT, SURICATA, STIX, SIGMA) within the product.
• Conduct threat‑intelligence operations to gather and validate information on advanced threats.
• Reverse‑engineer malicious samples using tools such as IDA PRO, Ghidra, OllyDBG, x64dbg, radare2.
• Contribute occasional technical content for public sharing.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams while adhering to confidentiality and NDA requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Detection Engineer, SOC Analyst, Threat Hunter or similar role.
• Strong understanding of the MITRE ATT&CK framework, cyber kill chains and the OSI model.
• Ability to work with network analysis tools like Wireshark.
• Basic proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Experience handling confidential data under NDAs.

Required skills

• YARA, SNORT, SURICATA, STIX, SIGMA rule creation.
• MITRE ATT&CK framework familiarity.
• Wireshark network analysis.
• Python scripting.
• Reverse‑engineering tools: IDA PRO, Ghidra, OllyDBG, x64dbg, radare2.
• Understanding of binary executable structures, packers, and OSI layers.
