Manufacturing Operations Intern

About the role

The Manufacturing Operations Intern will join the Machining Department of Bosch Rexroth Oil Control S.p.A. in Nonantola. The internship focuses on developing a structured forecasting and procurement process for consumable cutting tools used in machining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse historical consumption data of cutting tools used in machining processes.
• Collect and interpret sales forecasts and production plans to map tool demand.
• Develop forecasting models to estimate cutting‑tool requirements.
• Support the definition of replenishment policies and inventory‑management strategies.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, and Industrial Engineering teams.
• Monitor KPIs related to tool consumption, inventory levels, and material availability.
• Identify and propose improvement actions to enhance procurement and planning efficiency.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Strong interest in manufacturing processes and production planning.
• Good analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
