Mechanical Designer – Remote Monitoring Solutions

About the role

Eddyfi Technologies is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support both new and existing projects within its Remote Monitoring Solutions product line. The role requires a proactive, innovative individual who can work independently and collaboratively to deliver precise mechanical designs that contribute to critical industry assets.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and resolve design issues on existing products, proposing improvements.
• Update components, assemblies, and bills of materials in 3D CAD, and create detailed working drawings with material, dimension, and tolerance specifications.
• Harmonize BOMs across 3D CAD and company management software.
• Design and develop production components such as assembly tools and measurement supports.
• Independently design new prototypes from concept through to working drawings and, when required, assembly/testing.
• Operate and manage 3D printers for prototype creation and limited production runs.
• Maintain product documentation, including coding, cost calculations, and assembly/testing instructions.
• Prepare documentation for special product quotations.
• Coordinate communication between external mechanical workshops, production, and purchasing departments.
