Mechanical Engineer – Product Development (Campi Bisenzio)

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join Ariete’s headquarters in Campi Bisenzio. The role focuses on the practical application of engineering and design, ensuring the mechanical integrity of our small household appliance products.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the full product development cycle from concept to mass production.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models and drawings for complex mechanical solutions.
• Design and adapt mechanical components, especially plastic parts, to meet quality, cost, and regulatory targets.
• Manage individual R&D projects, define timelines, and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Execute rapid prototyping, testing, and validation of new concepts.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Purchasing, Quality, and Compliance teams to align designs with market needs.
• Guarantee compliance with international safety regulations and industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive experience designing plastic components and knowledge of injection molding processes.
• Strong understanding of mechanical processing technologies, die casting, and assembly methods.
• Proven ability to manage technical projects autonomously.
• Experience working with international teams, particularly with Chinese partners.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with 3D CAD tools, preferably Siemens NX.
• Expertise in plastic injection molding design.
• Knowledge of die casting processes.
• Rapid prototyping techniques.
