Mechanical Site Engineer

About the role

Metlen Energy & Metals is seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer to join its M Renewables team in Italy. The role involves on‑site mechanical oversight for renewable energy projects, ensuring safe and efficient execution.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑condition site surveys and support initial site setup with HSE engineers.
• Coordinate with project manager, construction manager and site engineers to deliver integrated projects.
• Supervise subcontractors’ schedules and work activities.
• Report any deviations from the scope of work to the project manager.
• Assist with mechanical work budgets and procure materials and services cost‑effectively.
• Provide technical support on‑site throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (MSc is a plus).
• 2–3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the renewable energy sector.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical and civil construction drawings.
• Fluent in English and Italian.

• Proficiency with AUTOCAD.
