Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teacher – International School

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Primary Years Programme (PYP) Teacher to join our international school in Venice starting August 2026. The role involves creating inquiry‑driven learning experiences that align with the IB philosophy and supporting students’ academic and personal growth.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver transdisciplinary units within the PYP framework, fostering the IB Learner Profile.
• Assess student progress using formative and summative strategies and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Utilise the school’s learning management system for lesson planning, assessments, and reporting.
• Collaborate with programme heads and counsellors to support student wellbeing.
• Participate in team planning, curriculum development, and interdisciplinary projects.
• Serve as Homeroom Teacher, contribute to school culture, and undertake supervision duties.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject from an accredited institution.
• Recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience or training in the IB Primary Years Programme (preferred).
• Valid right to work in Italy (EU passport or work visa).
• Clean police background check.
• Excellent English proficiency (CEFR C1–C2).
• Minimum two years of recent teaching experience in an international or IB school setting.
