Principal Manager API – Pharma (EMEA, flexible location)

About the role

Barentz is seeking an experienced Principal Manager to lead its API‑Pharma business across the EMEA region. The role reports to the EMEA API Principals Head and combines strategic supplier management with commercial growth initiatives. The position offers flexibility to work from any location within Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, grow, and develop current principal suppliers through increased volume, gross profit, product mix and strategic portfolio expansion.
• Identify and develop new principal opportunities, building a robust pipeline of future suppliers.
• Collaborate with sales, technical, regulatory, quality, marketing and development teams to integrate supplier strategies.
• Conduct competitive analysis on potential and target principals to secure market opportunities.
• Develop and execute business plans for assigned principals, driving profitable growth and KPI achievement.
• Partner with principals and the VP of Sales – Pharma to create joint growth programs.
• Travel to principal sites domestically and internationally for relationship building and coordination.
• Track and analyse activity, P&L performance, pipeline development, lead generation and sample management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the pharmaceutical market vertical, preferably with API products.
• Strong background in supplier relationship management and business development.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with sales, technical, regulatory and marketing teams.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for interaction with global principals.
