Product Development Assistant – Footwear

About the role

As a Product Development Assistant you will support the end‑to‑end creation of footwear collections, ensuring that all product data, samples and documentation are managed with precision. Working closely with Product Developers and cross‑functional partners, you will help translate design concepts into market‑ready products that meet Burberry’s high standards of quality and craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update PLM systems to guarantee accurate and consistent product information.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery of samples and shipments.
• Organise, file and archive samples, swatches and collection documentation for easy access.
• Track development budgets, monitor cost performance and report on financial metrics.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to the Product Development team, including board maintenance and product information updates.

Required profile

• Experience supporting product development processes within a fashion or luxury environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle data accurately at pace.
• Clear communicator able to share information concisely with diverse stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of cost tracking and budgeting principles.
• Organised, adaptable and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency with PLM systems.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
