Production Planner – Manufacturing Scheduling

About the role

The Production Planner is responsible for managing short‑term production scheduling and capacity planning to ensure efficient, on‑time manufacturing of products. The role works closely with production, procurement, and sales teams to align demand with manufacturing capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed short‑term production schedules, aligning daily and weekly plans with demand priorities, capacity constraints, and material availability.
• Manage work orders from creation through scheduling to closure, monitoring adherence and adjusting plans for disruptions.
• Coordinate with suppliers and warehouse teams to guarantee timely availability of raw materials and monitor critical stock levels.
• Maintain planning data accuracy in ERP systems, support continuous‑improvement initiatives, and track key scheduling KPIs such as schedule adherence and production efficiency.

Required profile

• University degree (Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferred).
• 0‑3 years of supply‑chain experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Fluent in Italian and English; additional European languages a plus.
• Analytical mindset, problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Advanced use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of ERP logic; experience with Oracle ERP is a plus.
