Quality Assurance Specialist

About the role

Dr. Schär is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to ensure the highest standards of product quality in its food production facilities. You will work closely with production teams, monitor processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform quality control of finished products and manage product‑related deviations.
• Maintain a strong operational presence on the shop floor, monitoring processes and supporting production.
• Manage and update the Quality Management System (ISO 9001, BRC, AIC, RSPO), including documentation and procedures.
• Analyse quality data (waste, complaints, trends) and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Act as backup to the QA Manager, coordinating the QA team and ensuring timely decision‑making.

Required profile

• Degree in Food Science & Technology or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in quality roles within supplier management and production environments.
• Solid understanding of food production processes.
• Strong analytical mindset and structured problem‑solving approach.
• Fluent in English and German or Italian.
