Quality Control Supervisor

About the role

The Quality Control (QC) Supervisor will act as the deputy to the QC Head, overseeing analytical activities for batch release, raw material, and packaging acceptance. This position ensures compliance with specifications, cGMP, and internal SOPs while supporting continuous improvement within the QC department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, coordinate and approve analytical activities for batch release and material acceptance.
• Maintain and approve QC records, including logbooks, forms, and analytical batch records.
• Ensure adequate stock of reagents, standards, and proper storage of QC materials.
• Investigate out‑of‑specification, out‑of‑trend, and system suitability failures and verify CAPA implementation.
• Validate analytical methods and support SOP adequacy, drafting, and review.
• Collaborate on stability programs, annual product reviews, and ensure timely stability analyses.
• Oversee training of QC analysts and manage QC technicians in the Head’s absence.
• Participate in internal self‑inspections, external audits, and maintain GMP compliance.
• Support projects related to new or existing products and ensure laboratory safety, including radioactive material handling.

Required profile

• Scientific degree, preferably in Chemistry or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in a Quality Control environment within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong sense of urgency, reliable presence, and ability to drive improvement processes.
• Fluent Italian and good written and spoken English.
