Quality Product and Process Supervisor

About the role

Sonoco is looking for a Quality Product and Process Supervisor for its Aprilia factory in central Italy, which produces metal closures mainly for tomato, pickle, sauce and condiment packaging. The post reports directly to the Quality Manager and supports him in ensuring the conformity of semi-finished and finished products, from the initial definition phase through to the start of series production.

Key responsibilities

• Define the quality control plans for the lithographic production processes and verify their compliance and correct application
• Analyse non-conformities found in production and coordinate corrective actions to prevent recurrence
• Regularly check the process capability index (Cpk) and promote improvement actions
• Review customer requirements and define the correct characteristics for new items
• Define qualification protocols for new products and new materials, including specifications, control and test plans
• Ensure product and component conformity with legal requirements on food-contact suitability
• Manage supplier quality assurance

Required profile

• Technical degree, preferably in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Well organised, autonomous, result-oriented and respectful of rules and safety
• Good communication skills and fluency in English, besides Italian
