Research & Development Laboratory Technician

About the role

Join Recordati's research and development laboratory as a Laboratory Technician. You will support ongoing projects by performing instrumental analyses and ensuring the smooth operation of analytical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out practical work in analytical labs, including analyses of intermediates and finished products.
• Develop, optimise, and validate analytical methods.
• Monitor and maintain analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, gas chromatographs, Karl‑Fisher titrators, and other titration devices.
• Document experimental activities in paper or electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Perform calculations required for analyses under senior researcher supervision.
• Execute GMP‑compliant analyses for process controls in R&D and pilot production of orphan drugs.
• Work shifts or daily hours as required.
• Assist senior researchers in solving analytical problems and organising test plans.

Required profile

• Diploma in scientific disciplines (e.g., chemistry, biotechnology) or a degree in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Technology.
• Basic theoretical knowledge of chemistry.
• Familiarity with chemical laboratory techniques.

Required skills

• HPLC operation and maintenance.
• Gas chromatography.
• Karl‑Fisher titration and other titration techniques.
• Analytical method development and validation.
• GMP analytical procedures.
• Laboratory notebook documentation (paper/e‑electronic).
