Secondary Mathematics Teacher

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Mathematics Teacher to join a well‑established international school in Florence, Italy. The successful candidate will deliver the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP) to a culturally diverse student body, fostering curiosity, resilience and lifelong learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging mathematics lessons aligned with the IB MYP framework.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the varied learning needs of students.
• Integrate educational technology to enhance learning outcomes.
• Maintain strong classroom management and positive discipline practices.
• Monitor student progress, use assessment data and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the school’s academic and pastoral life, collaborating with colleagues and supporting the wider community.

Required profile

• Valid teaching licence (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or US teaching licence) and a relevant bachelor's degree.
• Minimum three years of teaching experience, preferably in secondary mathematics.
• Experience with the IB MYP is advantageous.
• Background in international school settings and ability to work with diverse cultural and linguistic groups.
