Security Manager

About the role

The Security Manager will lead the day‑to‑day security operations at San Clemente Palace Venice, ensuring a safe environment for guests, staff, and assets. This full‑time, on‑site position combines physical security oversight with coordination of information‑security measures.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor access‑control systems, CCTV, and patrol the property to prevent and detect incidents.
• Coordinate response to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents, preparing detailed incident reports.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve security policies, procedures, and risk‑assessment processes.
• Lead, train, and schedule the security team, fostering performance and compliance.
• Collaborate with hotel departments, external agencies, and vendors to support secure events and protect critical systems.
• Provide regular security performance updates and improvement plans to hotel leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in physical security management, preferably in hospitality or luxury hotels.
• Working knowledge of information security, cybersecurity, and network security principles.
• Strong background in risk assessment, emergency preparedness, and crisis management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Italian and English.
• High integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information.
• Flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP) and a degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, or related field are advantageous.
