Senior Accountant – Italy

About the role

Intrepid Travel is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Italy team in Rome. The role will support the financial health of the Italy operations through accurate reporting, statutory compliance and robust controls. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with the General Manager Italy, Finance Manager Western Europe and the Shared Services team in Marrakech.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of financial accounting, statutory reporting and tax compliance for Italian entities.
• Prepare and deliver reliable financial insights to support decision‑making.
• Ensure all reporting meets local legal requirements and group accounting standards.
• Collaborate with the General Manager Italy, Finance Manager Western Europe and Shared Services to resolve issues and improve processes.
• Maintain and support the ERP system (Dynamics 365 or similar) and related financial data.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field with CA/CPA (or local equivalent).
• 2–4 years of post‑qualified experience in Italian accounting, statutory reporting and tax compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Italian.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365.
• Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
