Senior Associate, Clinical Applications Service & Support

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Senior Associate to provide clinical training, technical support, and customer education for its surgical technologies across the Toscana, Marche, Abruzzo, and Emilia regions. The role involves close collaboration with surgeons, operating room staff, sales teams, and field service engineers to ensure safe and effective product use.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on clinical training and ongoing education to surgeons and OR staff on Alcon’s cataract and refractive surgical devices.
• Provide on‑site and remote clinical application support, troubleshoot issues, and assist with equipment installations and software upgrades.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to drive adoption of new technologies and maintain high customer satisfaction.
• Support medical congresses, workshops, demonstrations, wet labs, and educational events while gathering clinical insights.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and GxP standards by documenting site visits and reporting adverse events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Orthoptics, Optometry or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical support, medical devices, or a surgical environment.
• Proven experience delivering training or clinical support to healthcare professionals.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills.
• Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Fluency in the local language; proficiency in English preferred.
