Senior Associate Finance - Billing & Accounts Payable

About the role

Publicis Sapient, a technology company providing enterprise AI platforms and services, is looking for a Senior Associate – Finance & Billing Specialist in Milan, Italy. You will support the finance operations of the company, ensuring accurate and compliant billing, accounts payable and month-end closing, working closely with Finance, Operations, Project Management and Commercial teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and coordinate client billing drafts, manage account extensions and amendments, and review billing transactions for compliance with policies and client invoicing requirements
• Resolve billing discrepancies, invoice rejections and enquiries, process credit notes, re-bills and re-generations, and support the Accounts Receivable team with overdue items and collections
• Support month-end, quarter-end and year-end billing, prepare files for intercompany and intracompany postings, and assist with audit requests
• Maintain knowledge of Italian invoicing requirements and escalate risks and process gaps
• Create and process purchase orders, manage vendor records, and support the review and approval of vendor invoices
• Help colleagues resolve expense-related issues and provide general administrative and operational support to Finance and Accounting

Required profile

• Full professional proficiency in Italian and fluency in English
• Knowledge of Italian invoicing and VAT requirements is mandatory
• Strong understanding of end-to-end billing processes and Italian accounting and invoicing principles
• Experience preparing intercompany accounting entries and reconciliations, and managing complex client billing arrangements
• Additional experience valued: qualified accountant and significant experience in a billing and/or accounting role
