Senior Director, Sales – Italy, Greece & Turkey

About the role

Sonoco is seeking a Senior Director of Sales to lead commercial activity across Italy, Greece and Turkey. Reporting to the Vice President, Commercial – Consumer Packaging, EMEA/APAC, the role oversees a strategic region serving major international consumer packaging customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategy for Italy, Greece and Turkey.
• Lead a high‑performing regional team of 10 direct reports across eight sites.
• Build and strengthen strategic customer relationships and partnerships.
• Drive growth through existing business, new opportunities and market expansion.
• Collaborate closely with operations and supply‑chain teams to align customer and business priorities.
• Foster a collaborative, customer‑focused and performance‑driven culture.

Required profile

• Senior sales leadership experience within packaging or a related manufacturing environment.
• Proven success leading regional, multi‑site commercial organisations in an international business.
• Strong customer engagement, negotiation and relationship‑management experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop high‑performing teams.
• Experience working cross‑functionally with operations and supply‑chain teams.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and influencing skills.
• Comfortable operating within a global, matrixed organisation.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% across the region.
