Senior Engineer, Analog Design Engineering

About the role

Analog Devices is looking for a P3 Senior Engineer to join its Personal Electronics Solutions (PES) team in Milan. The team focuses on PMIC and hybrid mixed-signal / power designs for high-end, high-volume devices such as smartphones, tablets and consumer accessories. The role covers developments from definition to production, working alongside analog, digital, mixed-signal, mask layout, verification, validation, algorithm and software, packaging and test engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design complex power IPs and PMICs, including LDO, buck, boost, buck-boost, charge-pump, SIMO, IBB, oscillators, PLL, bandgap references, ADC, DAC, I/O, OTP, MTP and DFT.
• Run PMIC design, pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation, and guide the physical design layout team.
• Take part in customer engagements supporting technical feasibility and attend weekly IC meetings and milestone workshops.
• Help build a culture of continuous learning, support project management, task planning and scheduling.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering, with 3+ years of experience.
• IP analog design experience.
• Solid technical and analytical background with good problem-solving skills.
• Good team player across disciplines.
• Understanding of mixed-signal design flow, top-down methodology, power IP topologies, analog functional and parametric verification, and PVT corners and LPE simulations.

Required skills

• Preferred: Cadence Virtuoso ADE Spectre, scripting languages and HDL (Verilog, SystemVerilog, Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, Wreal, EEnet).
• Preferred: mixed-signal verification tools (AMS, APS, Flex), high-voltage low-geometry process experience, lab silicon bring-up and production test support.

What we offer

• Pay range in Milan of EUR 40,810 to EUR 59,095, which may vary by location and level.
• Discretionary performance-based bonus, possible variable compensation, paid annual leave and supplemental benefits depending on local policy.
