Senior Internal Auditor – Restaurant Excellence

About the role

The Senior Internal Auditor will ensure operational excellence and compliance across a fast‑growing network of restaurants in Italy. Working closely with restaurant managers and cross‑functional teams, you will audit processes, identify risks, and drive continuous improvement while travelling extensively across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute regular operational audits at restaurant sites, checking adherence to corporate policies and standards.
• Conduct on‑site visits throughout Italy to evaluate compliance, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and enhance existing internal controls and operational processes.
• Identify, assess, and monitor operational risks and ensure mandatory procedures are consistently applied.
• Follow up on corrective action plans and monitor their implementation.
• Analyse operational data and reporting systems to support audit activities.
• Review performance indicators and transactional data to spot losses, irregularities, or control weaknesses.
• Prepare monthly audit reports and presentations for management committees.
• Support sustainability initiatives by monitoring environmental and social practices.
• Assist in adapting corporate policies to evolving regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Food Science or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in internal or operational audit, compliance or a similar role with multi‑site exposure.
• Proven experience in the restaurant, food‑service, hospitality or quick‑service restaurant (QSR) sector.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct on‑site audits and produce actionable recommendations.
