Senior Labour Lawyer – International Employment (Italy)

About the role

Glovo is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel specialized in International Employment Law for couriers. You will lead the legal strategy for platform‑worker classification across Italy and other markets, helping shape the future of gig‑economy work.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage high‑profile litigations and regulatory investigations related to courier classification in Italy and abroad.
• Develop defence strategies and advise business units on legal risks.
• Collaborate with Product, Tech and Operations teams to embed legal compliance into delivery applications.
• Stay abreast of legislative developments affecting platform work and act as a strategic partner to Public Policy teams.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise and knowledge transfer to management and Group stakeholders.

Required profile

• Italian‑qualified employment lawyer with at least 6 years of experience.
• Background in a reputable law firm and/or in‑house role at a tech company.
• Litigation experience and a strong interest in gig‑economy and platform‑work matters.
• Understanding of related regulatory areas such as social security, tax, data protection, immigration and commercial contracts.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, team‑player attitude and ability to work in a fast‑changing environment.
