Senior Legal Counsel – In‑house Commercial Law

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to provide in‑house legal advice across multiple EMEA countries. Reporting to the Corporate VP – Legal & General Counsel, you will work closely with a global legal team and support a diverse internal client base.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including MPA’s, Terms of Business, Bonded Inventory Management, Consignment and supplier contracts.
• Identify and mitigate key risks such as warranties, indemnities, liability limits and late deliveries.
• Prepare and advise on Non‑Disclosure Agreements, office lease agreements and renewal contracts within the EMEA region.
• Support Trade Compliance by applying export and import control laws for the UK, EU and US.
• Provide guidance on data protection, GDPR compliance and privacy matters.
• Collaborate with global counsel on internal processes, international issues and occasional employment, IP, insurance and logistics matters.
• Undertake additional projects or duties as required by management.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with a law degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• 7‑12 years of post‑qualification experience in a commercial legal role, either in private practice or in‑house.
• Fluent in English and Italian (both written and spoken); additional language is a plus.
• Commercially astute, highly organised and able to solve problems efficiently.
• Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
