Senior Legal Counsel – Italy & Greece

About the role

Saint-Gobain Glass Italy - Corporate is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to provide strategic legal support for its operations in Italy and Greece. The role involves advising country management teams and business leaders on commercial, industrial and corporate matters while ensuring compliance with local regulations and group policies.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales, procurement, distribution, services, agency and framework agreements.
• Provide guidance on competition law, antitrust and unfair commercial practices.
• Ensure compliance with applicable local laws, Saint‑Gobain Group policies, data‑privacy and cyber‑security requirements.
• Implement and monitor insurance programs and identify legal risks, proposing mitigation strategies.
• Manage litigation and pre‑litigation matters, coordinate external counsel, and oversee claims, disputes and settlements.
• Support M&A activities, including due diligence, transaction documentation and post‑integration tasks.
• Act as the legal reference for data protection and privacy matters, reviewing data‑processing agreements and supporting GDPR compliance.
• Manage relationships with external law firms, regulators and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in corporate, commercial and contractual law.
• Proven ability to advise senior management on complex legal issues.
• Strong knowledge of competition law, data‑privacy regulations and litigation management.
