Senior Project Manager

About the role

Fiserv, a global leader in fintech and payments, is hiring a Senior Project Manager in Milan. Reporting to the Program Director, the role is responsible for scoping, planning and delivering projects and initiatives that meet specified business needs, controlling resources across several areas and potentially third parties to achieve agreed cost, time and quality objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define the project brief, set client expectations and establish the project governance structure
• Help the client and sponsor obtain authorisations and sign-offs on the business case, document the project approach and create a high-level schedule with resource, cost and duration estimates
• Develop plans for scope, schedule, budget, change management, risk, procurement, testing, training, communication and transition to BAU, and agree them with stakeholders
• Manage the project plan, budget and work assignments, track time and costs, and report regularly on schedule, cost, benefits, risks and issues
• Run governance meetings, manage risks and issues, and handle proposed changes in scope, schedule or budget
• Lead a matrix team of Fiserv subject matter experts and possibly third-party resources, and maintain contact with the PMO
• Ensure a clean transition to BAU, provide out-of-hours cover during implementation weekends, and complete closeout, financial closeout, lessons learned and project archive

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Marketing or equivalent work experience
• Expertise in MS Office products, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project
• In-depth understanding of business processes within the client portfolio
• Ability to plan and monitor a programme of multiple endpoints
• History of matrix-managing others on medium to large projects with full-lifecycle experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Italian and English

Nice to have: significant proven project management experience, preferably in the finance industry. Salary starts at EUR 67,500, negotiable depending on experience.
