Senior Project Manager – Renewables (EMEA)

About the role

UL Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex due‑diligence projects for solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and onshore wind across the EMEA region. The role will act as the primary technical advisor for transactions, supporting financing, sales and acquisitions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute independent engineering and technical advisory services for renewable energy transactions.
• Lead technical due‑diligence for solar PV, BESS and onshore wind projects, including site assessments, technology reviews, design evaluations and contract analysis.
• Produce high‑quality Technical Due Diligence (TDD) reports integrating multidisciplinary inputs.
• Conduct site visits, monitor progress against specifications, budgets and schedules.
• Collaborate with internal project managers, associate managers and sub‑consultants to ensure timely delivery.
• Support business development by interfacing with clients and contributing to new procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in renewable energy, covering development, construction, operations and M&A.
• Deep expertise in solar PV and BESS projects; familiarity with onshore wind is a plus.
• Local market knowledge of Italy or Poland, including regulation, permitting and grid‑connection processes.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
