Senior Software Architect – Remote (Worldwide)

About the role

Tether is looking for a Senior Software Architect to design, build, and scale the backend systems that power its global financial and tokenisation platform. This fully remote role lets you work with a worldwide team of engineers, product leaders, and blockchain experts to deliver high‑availability services used by millions.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement distributed backend services that handle token issuance, transaction processing, and data storage.
• Design robust APIs and integration layers for blockchain networks and third‑party financial partners.
• Develop permission frameworks, operational tooling, and monitoring solutions to ensure reliability and security.
• Collaborate with product and security teams to define technical road‑maps and performance targets.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a focus on large‑scale backend systems.
• Proven track record designing and delivering distributed, high‑throughput services.
• Strong understanding of blockchain concepts and tokenisation workflows.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work autonomously in a remote environment.
