Senior Tax Accountant

About the role

Novogradac & Company LLP is seeking a motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join its fast‑growing team. In this role you will lead tax engagements, mentor junior staff, and deepen client relationships while working with minimal supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Complete tax projects for designated clients with minimal oversight.
• Conduct thorough engagement reviews and manage increasing responsibility for engagement oversight.
• Identify potential problem areas and propose effective solutions.
• Perform business‑specific research, analyze data, and compile actionable reports.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through professionalism and responsiveness.
• Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants, managing time efficiently to enhance team profitability.
• Pursue CPA licensure if not already obtained.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (advanced degree a plus).
• 1‑3 years of public accounting experience or equivalent education/work balance.
• Ability to sit for the CPA exam or have passed sections; CPA license is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High intellectual curiosity and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and follow‑through abilities.
• Capacity to prioritize a fast‑paced workload and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Receptive to constructive feedback and collaborative team environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
