Service Sales Engineer - Transformers

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY ITALY S.P.A. is looking for a Service Sales Specialist (Service Sales Engineer) for its Business Unit Service in Monselice, Padua, Italy. The role supports the sales team and customers throughout the sales process, develops new and existing business and takes ownership of specific customer cases.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in sales strategy discussions, set short- and long-term goals and negotiate product group sales budgets and marketing plans
• Analyse customer needs and competitor offers, and communicate the value of products, systems, services and packages
• Help customers choose technically appropriate and cost-effective solutions, give product presentations and training, and resolve customer issues
• Analyse lost proposals to improve competitiveness
• Review sales performance, propose recovery plans for potential order shortfalls and report regularly on sales activity to support production planning
• Prepare offers in coordination with the quotation department and report in tools such as SFDC

Required profile

• Technical background; engineering degree preferred
• More than 3 years of experience in direct sales and sales management
• Previous experience with electric substation equipment; presenting transformer solutions is a plus
• Fluent Italian and English
