About the role
The Software Application Engineer will design, develop, test, and deploy software applications that meet business needs. Working within RINA’s Digital Technology and Cybersecurity Division, you will collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and developers to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions for customers in Italy.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure desktop applications using C/C++ or C#.
- Write clean, maintainable code and automated tests, and support CI/CD pipelines.
- Debug applications, assist the V&V team during testing, and resolve defects.
- Document requirements, design decisions, APIs, and maintain technical diagrams.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams, troubleshooting issues promptly.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose improvements to applications and processes.
- Participate actively in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer or Application Engineer.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality software applications.
- Strong understanding of software engineering lifecycle, Agile methodologies, and version control.
Required skills
- Programming languages: C, C++, C#.
- Desktop development tools: MS Visual Studio, VS Code, Eclipse.
- GUI frameworks: Qt, NI LabWindows/LabVIEW.
- Requirements and design tools: UML‑based modeling.
- Database technologies: SQL.
- Version control: Git.
- CI/CD pipelines and Agile practices.
