Software Engineer / Developer

About the role

STAM is seeking a motivated Software Engineer/Developer to join its Digital Solutions Business Area in Genoa. You will work on the full software development lifecycle, creating web‑based solutions for clients in the energy, infrastructure and industry sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop responsive web interfaces for client projects.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from analysis to deployment.
• Prepare technical proposals and contribute to R&D initiatives.
• Collaborate with agile teams and support testing, validation and acceptance activities.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Up to two years of experience in software development and IT project implementation.
• Experience with customer requirement analysis, system design and integration.
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem‑solving skills.
• Good command of English for documentation.

Required skills

• Ability to create responsive web interfaces.
• Knowledge of Java or Python.
• Experience with MySQL or another relational database.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with Spring Framework, Angular, WordPress and WooCommerce (preferred).
• Use of development and project‑management tools such as GitLab, Jira, Trello/Asana and Slack.
• Understanding of testing, validation and basic ML algorithms (preferred).
