Solar Field Technician – Italy (Lombardy & Emilia‑Romagna)

About the role

We are looking for experienced Solar Field Technicians to join a leading international renewable‑energy company operating across Italy. The role involves hands‑on work at utility‑scale solar farms, ensuring installations are commissioned correctly, maintained efficiently, and operate at peak performance.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and test photovoltaic (PV) systems on large‑scale solar farms.
• Connect panels, inverters and electrical components according to technical specifications and perform grid‑connection procedures.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, and replace faulty components.
• Monitor system performance, conduct pre‑commissioning inspections and quality checks, and suggest optimisation measures.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations, conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with Italian electrical standards.
• Provide technical support to operations teams, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and report issues with recommended solutions.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification or equivalent technical certification.
• Minimum 2–3 years proven experience working on solar PV systems.
• Willingness to be based in or relocate to Lombardy or Emilia‑Romagna regions.
• Strong understanding of high‑voltage and low‑voltage electrical systems.
