Solution Designer (IT Integrator)

About the role

The Solution Designer / IT Integrator translates business objectives, functional and non-functional requirements into scalable, secure and maintainable end-to-end technical solutions. Acting as the bridge between Business, Architecture and Engineering, the role ensures technical coherence across systems, applications, integrations and data flows and supports delivery outcomes. The position is based in Milan on a hybrid basis.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements, Epics and User Stories, shape and assess feasibility, and ensure traceability between requirements and implementation
• Design end-to-end solutions aligned with enterprise architecture, including integration patterns, APIs, events, data flows and system interactions, and produce solution documentation and technical specifications
• Support backlog refinement, User Story decomposition, development, testing, deployment and production readiness, and drive design reviews
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Engineers and business stakeholders, manage technical dependencies and communicate risks, assumptions and constraints
• Promote engineering best practices, align with architecture, security and compliance standards, and support operational stability

Required profile

• Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
• At least 6 years of experience in the role
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, and fluent written and spoken English
• Preferred: knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, OpenAPI/Swagger, Kafka, Oracle/SQL, Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Grafana, Dynatrace, Splunk, Kubernetes and cloud platforms
