Stewarding Supervisor – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Stewarding Supervisor leads the daily stewarding operations at a luxury hotel in Florence, ensuring that all culinary equipment, service ware and back‑of‑house areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily stewarding operations, ensuring transport, cleaning and proper handling of cooking utensils, service ware and equipment for restaurant and banquet service.
• Maintain back‑of‑house areas to the highest hygiene, safety and organizational standards.
• Manage accurate inventory of food and beverage equipment and ensure its distribution across all departments.
• Coordinate timely delivery of clean equipment and materials to all outlets and functions.
• Plan schedules, assign daily tasks and supervise utility stewards, dishwashers and temporary staff.
• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to ensure seamless communication and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience as a stewarding supervisor or similar role in a luxury hospitality environment.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organizational discipline and hands‑on leadership style.

Required skills

• Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards for back‑of‑house operations.
• Experience with inventory management of kitchen equipment.
• Ability to supervise and train utility stewards and dishwashing staff.
