Strategic HR Country Lead – Italy

About the role

The Strategic HR Country Lead for Italy acts as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and senior leadership team, shaping and executing the people strategy that drives business performance and sustainable growth. Reporting within a three‑pillar HR model, the role translates global and regional HR directives into locally relevant initiatives while ensuring alignment with business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the country leadership team to advise, coach and influence on all aspects of people management and leadership.
• Lead and develop the in‑country HR Business Partner and payroll teams, building HR capability across the organization.
• Design and implement HR policies and programmes that comply with Italian labour, tax and social security regulations.
• Collaborate with Total Rewards and Talent Acquisition Centres of Expertise to manage compensation reviews, market surveys, payroll, benefits, recruitment and onboarding.
• Own the employee‑relations framework, handling complex cases and ensuring a high‑performance, inclusive culture.
• Use data‑driven insights to influence decision‑making, strengthen leadership effectiveness and drive employee engagement.

Required profile

• Senior HR professional with extensive experience in strategic HR partnership within a multinational environment.
• Proven ability to translate global HR strategy into local actions and to lead cross‑functional HR teams.
• Deep knowledge of Italian employment legislation and HR best practices.
• Strong analytical mindset and experience using data to influence business decisions.
