Tax & Accounting Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Tax & Accounting Manager to lead accounting and tax functions for our Italian entity. Reporting to the CFO (Italy & UK), you will ensure compliance with Italian GAAP and IFRS, manage tax filings, and support month‑end close in a fast‑growing, multinational environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee statutory accounting in line with Italian GAAP and IFRS reporting requirements.
• Manage Italian tax compliance, including VAT, withholding taxes, and periodic/annual filings.
• Lead month‑end closing activities: journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and reporting packages.
• Supervise accounts payable and payment processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform bank reconciliations and treasury‑related activities.
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations with European entities (Poland, Germany).
• Strengthen internal controls, accounting procedures, and documentation standards.
• Support SAP S/4HANA reporting, data extraction, and system optimisation.
• Collaborate with Finance, Controlling, Supply Chain, and HQ teams on accounting and tax matters.
• Provide technical and operational support to the CFO (Italy & UK) and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in accounting and tax for an Italian entity within a multinational group.
• Strong knowledge of Italian GAAP, IFRS, and local tax regulations (VAT, withholding taxes).
• Ability to lead month‑end close, manage intercompany accounting, and supervise AP processes.
• Experience working with cross‑functional and multicultural teams.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
