Teen Coordinator – Child & Youth Program

About the role

The Teen Coordinator leads the Navy Child and Youth Programs (CYP) teen segment, designing and delivering high‑quality social, recreational, and educational activities for adolescents. This role ensures a safe, engaging environment that supports the emotional, physical, and cognitive development of participants.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and supervise age‑appropriate teen programs that align with OPNAV guidelines and Department of Navy requirements.
• Organize special events, trips, dances, and family‑involved activities.
• Collaborate with other military installations and community partners to create regional teen initiatives.
• Prepare indoor and outdoor spaces, secure supplies, and maintain equipment safety and condition.
• Foster positive interactions among youth, staff, and volunteers, modeling sportsmanship and conflict‑resolution techniques.
• Collect participant feedback and recommend program improvements.

Required profile

• Experience working with adolescents in educational, recreational, or youth‑service settings.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to ensure safety standards and manage equipment.
