Tenure‑Track Researcher / Associate Professor in Experimental Superconductivity

About the role

The Department of Physics at the University of Rome Tor Vergata invites expressions of interest for a tenure‑track researcher or associate professor position focused on experimental superconductivity, superconductor devices, and low‑temperature physics. The appointment will be funded through the Italian Ministry of Research Direct Call programme and aims to strengthen the department's research and teaching activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and lead research projects in superconductivity, including device fabrication and low‑temperature measurements.
• Contribute to the department’s academic programme, curriculum design, and student supervision.
• Secure national and international research funding and manage research grants.
• Participate in departmental governance and strategic planning.

Required profile

• Established researcher with at least three years of experience in an equivalent academic position abroad.
• Strong publication record in experimental superconductivity or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to work in clean‑room environments and manage complex instrumentation.
